My Story

I’ve been there. At my wits end. Fed up and desperate for help. Being a working mother often feels impossible at times, because, truthfully, it is impossible to give 100% of ourselves to all of the things we are expected to take care of. 

​

This reality is the foundation of what drove me to create Soar with Sarah Yoga.

 

I am a mother, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for self-care and mindfulness no matter what your age is. I know firsthand the overwhelming juggle of parenting, work, and life. I understand what it feels like to race through mornings, pack lunches while checking emails, and somehow still end the day feeling like nothing is truly done.

There were many nights when I’d collapse into bed, wondering how to give my family the attention and patience they deserve, while juggling everything else I had to do and who I had to be with all of the other responsibilities in my life. I was often attempting (failing miserably) at managing my own stress and exhaustion and keeping up a happy facade. I’ve been the mom hiding in the pantry for five minutes of quiet, the mom losing her cool after another spilled juice box, and the mom who, despite her best efforts, felt disconnected from herself and ultimately, her children.

But it was a result of these moments of chaos and vulnerability that I found yoga. I craved a piece of my life and myself that had long been pushed aside, set on the backburner and most days forgotten about. Yoga became a bridge back to myself and has led me on a journey of personal growth that I never could imagine to be more transformative and impactful. Through yoga, I discovered the power of self-regulation, the importance of calming my own nervous system, and the beauty of modeling these skills for children. Yoga is a lifestyle for me~a platform to assist with all of my physical and mental growth.

Recognizing that so many mothers share these struggles, I founded Soar with Sarah Yoga to offer a lifeline—a space where moms and their children can rediscover peace, connection, and joy. My program offerings  are designed to be accessible and relatable, blending mindfulness, movement, and tools for emotional regulation. Whether you’re an experienced yogi or someone who has never set foot on a yoga mat, my intention is to meet you where you are at, honoring your unique journey as a parent and a yogi.

I believe that taking care of yourself is not selfish—it’s essential. By nurturing your well-being, you’re teaching your child the value of self-care and creating a foundation for a calmer, more connected life. I would  invite you to step off the treadmill of perfectionism and into a practice that supports you and your family, helping you breathe, heal, and thrive together.

With a background of 20 years teaching kindergarten, I excel in creating fun and engaging yoga sessions for all levels and ages. I have become especially adept at working with families, young children and those with neurodivergent needs and special considerations, ensuring everyone feels included and supported. 

My intention is to empower families to reach a higher level of awareness, improve their abilities to regulate emotions and manage stress so they can SOAR!
